Parking Options at Athens Airport

The Short-Term P1 and P2

El. Venizelos Short-Term Parking P1 and P2 are located next to the Arrivals level, just a 2-minute walk from the Main Terminal. These lots are designed for short stays (up to 5 hours) and offer a total of 1,360 spaces, including dedicated spots for passengers with reduced mobility. Electric vehicle owners can use 14 free EV charging stations available at P1. The first 20 minutes of parking are free, and online reservations provide additional discounts.

The Long-Term Athens Airport Parking Lot

The Long-Term Parking area is ideal for multi-day stays and operates 24/7. It offers more than 5,800 parking spaces located across the Attiki Odos motorway, roughly a 5–10-minute walk from the terminal. A free shuttle bus connects the lot to the terminal every 10 minutes, with a total travel time of 8 minutes. Accessible spaces are available, and booking online or paying by card unlocks additional discounts.

Tip: Economy Parking lots are located on either side of the Long-Term Parking zone. They offer lower daily rates, with the first 1,000 spots per day charged at the Early Booking Price of 5€/5.51$ per day.

The Motorcycle Parking Area

A designated motorcycle parking zone is located near Short-Term P1, on the Arrivals level. Access is via a separate entrance about 200 meters before the main P1 gate.

Note: A new multi-storey parking facility is under construction to replace the original P1. During this period, Short-Term P1 has been temporarily relocated to the Long-Term Parking area.

P1 and P2 are recommended for quick visits, pick-ups, and drop-offs. They are located directly in front of the Arrivals level. The first 20 minutes are free (up to 2 entries per day). Payment can be made via ticket machines or directly by inserting a bank card at entry and exit. Both cash and card are accepted.

The Long-Term Parking at El. Venizelos provides lower daily rates and free transfers via the pedestrian bridge or the airport shuttle. The shuttle runs every 10 minutes and stops at 14 locations, taking 8–10 minutes to reach the terminal. Payments can be made through ticket machines or by card at entry/exit points.

The Pick-Up and Drop-Off Zones at El. Venizelos Airport

Drivers can use designated pick-up and drop-off zones directly in front of the Arrivals and Departures areas. These lanes allow 10 minutes of free parking (up to 2 entries per day). After that, charges apply as follows:

  • 5€/5.50$ for up to 20 minutes total
  • 1€/1.10$ per minute thereafter
  • Maximum stay: 60 minutes

Barriers separate the zones to ensure smooth traffic flow around the terminal entrances.
